KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Technology and Industrial Stocks Declining

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a mixed trading day with fluctuations in stock prices across various sectors. Notable movements were observed in major technology and industrial companies, which saw significant declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung SDS witnessed a drop of 3,000, closing at 125,000, while SK saw a similar decline of 3,000, ending at 143,000. Other companies in the technology sector such as NCsoft and HANMISemi faced declines of 4,900 and 6,000, respectively. Meanwhile, LG H and H and LGCHEM recorded decreases of 5,000 and 4,000.

In the industrial sector, HD Hyundai Infracore and DWEC experienced decreases of 70 and 80, respectively. LG Display and Kangwonland also saw reductions in their stock prices, closing at 9,100 and 16,670.

Despite these declines, several companies posted gains. In the telecom sector, SKTelecom increased by 400 to close at 56,000, while KT rose by 200 to 44,400. The tourism company HANATOUR SERVICE, however, experienced a decrease, closing at 54,000, down by 300.

Other notable gains included COSMAX, which saw an increase of 7,500, closing at 154,900, and NAVER, which rose by 2,000 to 204,000. KEPCO KPS and Hanwha Ocean also recorded positive performances, closing at 42,300 and 45,150, up by 250 and 150, respectively.
