KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Significant Gains and Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a day of mixed performance, with several companies experiencing notable gains and losses in their stock prices. Among the prominent changes, CSWIND closed at 60,500, marking a decrease of 700, while HanmiPharm saw a positive shift, closing at 436,000, up by 5,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant movements included KOLON IND, which dropped by 3,000 to close at 91,900. In contrast, KOLMAR KOREA witnessed a substantial increase, closing at 93,600, up by 6,700. Emart also recorded a positive gain, ending the day at 112,900 with an increase of 4,500.

The financial sector saw Meritz Financial drop to 112,400, down by 800, while BNK Financial Group and iM Financial Group also experienced declines, closing at 17,900 and 19,100, respectively. KakaoBank and kakaopay followed the downward trend, closing at 23,650 and 57,000, respectively.

In the technology sector, SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS rose by 4,000 to close at 1,472,000, while SK ie technology fell by 600 to 26,400. HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC experienced a significant decline, closing at 1,403,000, down by 17,000.

Retail and consumer goods saw positive movements, with BGF Retail and ORION gaining, closing at 138,600 and 141,200, respectively. The automotive sector had mixed results, with HANKOOK TIRE and TECHNOLOGY dropping by 2,600 to close at 62,100, while HL MANDO rose by 2,300 to 59,900.

In the industrial sector, HYOSUNG TNC showed a gain, closing at 488,500, up by 5,500, while HANWHA SYSTEMS saw a decline, closing at 115,900, down by 800. APR recorded the highest gain, closing at 434,000, up by 32,500.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of varied performance, influenced by fluctuations across different sectors.
