Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with a mix of gains and losses among its listed companies, reflecting varied investor sentiment across different sectors. Leading the gainers, LIG Nex1 saw a substantial increase, closing at 402,000, up by 29,500. On the other hand, LGCHEM experienced a notable decline, ending at 205,500, down by 3,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies within the KOSPI 200 index reported significant changes in their closing prices. Hyundai Rotem rose to 125,400, marking an increase of 9,100, while HanmiPharm also saw a rise, ending at 271,500, up by 11,500. Conversely, SK Innovation faced a decline, closing at 90,800, down by 2,700.
Other notable movements included POONGSAN, which increased by 3,700 to finish at 64,400, and NCsoft, which gained 1,000 to close at 148,100. Among the decliners, HANATOUR SERVICE dropped by 1,850 to end at 49,850, and KEPCO E and C decreased by 1,300, closing at 61,300.
