Seoul: Friday saw a varied performance in the KOSPI 200 index, with several notable changes in the closing prices of key stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange. Among the highlights, YoungoneHoldings and SK hynix experienced significant declines, while companies such as HyundaiEng and Const and LotteChilsung recorded notable gains.
According to Yonhap News Agency, YoungoneHoldings closed at KRW 165,900, marking a decrease of KRW 13,600. Similarly, SK hynix saw a decline of KRW 14,000, closing at KRW 530,000. On the other hand, HyundaiEng and Const rose by KRW 1,800 to reach KRW 67,000, and LotteChilsung increased by KRW 2,400, closing at KRW 119,700.
Other companies also showed a mix of upward and downward trends. Youngpoong closed with an increase of KRW 400 at KRW 68,500, while SamsungF and MIns dropped by KRW 5,500 to KRW 481,500. HANALL BIOPHARMA and Yuhan both experienced gains, closing at KRW 46,800 and KRW 122,000 respectively, each with a rise of KRW 1,800.
In contrast, DOOSAN saw a significant drop of KRW 14,000, ending at KRW 876,000. CJ LOGISTICS and CJ also recorded declines, with CJ LOGISTICS down by KRW 1,100 to KRW 91,300, and CJ decreasing by KRW 4,400 to close at KRW 176,100.
The trading session also highlighted gains for HITEJINRO and ORION Holdings, with HITEJINRO closing at KRW 18,810, up by KRW 40, and ORION Holdings rising by KRW 360 to KRW 20,250. Meanwhile, KCC and TaekwangInd remained unchanged at KRW 417,000 and KRW 807,000 respectively.
