Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showed a mixed performance on Thursday, with stocks like Samsung Electronics and SKC experiencing declines, while others such as Samsung F and M and DB Insurance saw an increase. The main Korea Stock Exchange recorded varied movements in the stock prices of its listed companies.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung F and M's stock price rose by 24,500 KRW to close at 493,500 KRW. HANALL BIOPHARMA also saw an increase, closing at 47,350 KRW with a rise of 2,950 KRW. Kogas's stock price climbed by 1,050 KRW to reach 42,200 KRW. Meanwhile, Hanwha's stocks increased by 3,400 KRW, ending the day at 92,100 KRW.
On the other hand, some stocks faced declines. Samsung Electronics saw a reduction of 1,400 KRW, closing at 99,200 KRW. SKC experienced a significant drop of 8,900 KRW, ending the day at 117,300 KRW. POSCO FUTURE M and HD HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES also saw decreases in their stock prices by 1,500 KRW and 3,000 KRW, respectively.
Other notable performances included CJ's increase of 6,500 KRW to reach 169,500 KRW and LotteChilsung's rise by 5,400 KRW to 126,400 KRW. The logistics company CJ LOGISTICS saw its stocks go up by 2,300 KRW, closing at 82,300 KRW. SK hynix experienced a substantial increase of 14,000 KRW, closing at 593,000 KRW.
Despite the mixed outcomes, the overall market performance highlighted the dynamic nature of stock movements within the KOSPI 200 index.
