KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Notable Gains in Technology and Financial Sectors

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index demonstrated varied movements as several major stocks closed with notable fluctuations. In the financial sector, Meritz Financial experienced an increase, closing at 112,800, marking an upward movement of 200. Similarly, BNK Financial Group closed higher at 11,710, up by 60, while iM Financial Group saw a decline of 70, settling at 11,520.

According to Yonhap News Agency, retail and technology sectors reflected mixed outcomes. emart's shares rose to 84,300, a gain of 1,200, whereas DoubleUGames fell by 200, closing at 50,300. In the technology domain, Samsung Biologics climbed to 1,043,000 with an increase of 3,000, while Doosan Bobcat decreased by 1,600, ending at 51,100.

Manufacturing and chemical companies also showed diverse trends. KOLMAR KOREA advanced significantly, reaching 92,100 with an increase of 2,100. In contrast, HD Hyundai Electric faced a decline, closing at 418,500, down by 11,000. Meanwhile, HYOSUNG TNC rose to 260,000, up by 5,000, and ISU Specialty Chemical increased by 1,450, closing at 41,400.

Other sectors showed varied performances. Hanwha Systems improved by 1,000, closing at 52,400, while BGF Retail saw a downturn, finishing at 118,800, a decrease of 3,400. The entertainment sector faced challenges as HYBE experienced a drop of 8,500, settling at 300,500.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a combination of gains and losses across different sectors, indicating a mixed trading session.
