KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Notable Gains in Samsung SDI and Korea Zinc

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a mixed performance today as several companies reported gains while others saw declines. Noteworthy movements included significant increases in the stock prices of Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. and Korea Zinc, leading the day's upward trend.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. recorded a substantial rise, with its stock price climbing by 12,000 to settle at 326,000. Korea Zinc also experienced a notable surge, with its shares increasing by 37,000, reaching a closing price of 1,621,000. Other companies seeing upward movement included Samsung C and T, gaining 7,000 to close at 296,000, and LG H and H, which rose by 6,500 to finish at 270,000.

On the downside, HyundaiGlovis faced a significant drop, with a decrease of 13,500, bringing its closing price to 259,500. LS Electric also saw a considerable decline, down by 8,000 to end the day at 525,000. Hanwha Ocean and Mobis were among the companies experiencing declines, with their prices falling by 1,700 and 6,500, respectively.

Overall, the market presented a varied picture, with some companies making gains and others facing losses, reflecting a dynamic trading day for the KOSPI 200 index.
