Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased a mix of gains and losses as several major companies saw fluctuations in their stock prices. Key movements included BNK Financial Group closing at 14,940, marking a decrease of 160, and iM Financial Group dropping by 140 to end at 14,110. Conversely, emart experienced an increase, closing at 83,500, up by 900.
According to Yonhap News Agency, some companies saw significant upward trends, with COSMAX rising by 5,700 to close at 187,300, and HD Hyundai Electric recording a gain of 14,000, finishing at 906,000. Meanwhile, HL MANDO and SKSQUARE reported upticks of 1,700 and 17,000, respectively, closing at 64,200 and 446,500.
On the downside, Samsung Biologics saw a decline of 18,000, closing at 1,947,000, and HyundaiAutoever decreased by 15,500, settling at 476,500. Other notable declines included Hanwha Systems and HDHMS, which fell by 5,600 and 5,800, respectively, closing at 90,900 and 189,600.
The trading session also highlighted gains for companies like APR and BGF Retail, with APR climbing by 3,000 to 240,500 and BGF Retail increasing by 5,500 to 115,200. However, companies such as Doosan and DL E and C faced losses, with Doosan decreasing by 6,000 to finish at 828,000, and DL closing at 36,450 after a drop of 250.
