KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Key Stocks Declining

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a mixed performance, with several key stocks closing lower. Among the notable changes, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. saw a decrease of 2,700, closing at 172,100. Conversely, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries recorded an increase of 8,000, concluding at 427,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, multiple stocks experienced a downward trend. LS Electric fell by 4,500, closing at 258,000, while LG Innotek decreased by 5,700, ending at 144,300. Samsung Electro-Mechanics also saw a decline, with a drop of 4,000 to settle at 127,400.

Additional stocks facing declines included Kumho Petrochemical, which dropped by 4,200 to 117,100, and Hanwha Aerospace, which saw a significant decrease of 8,000, closing at 945,000. OCI Holdings decreased by 1,600, ending at 77,500, and Mobis fell by 2,500, closing at 282,000.

Meanwhile, some stocks experienced gains. KorZinc rose by 5,000 to 788,000, and HD Hyundai Mipo increased by 1,400, reaching 184,000. Samsung Heavy Industries saw a minor increase of 110, ending at 17,690, and HMM went up by 1,200, closing at 24,200.

The overall performance of the KOSPI 200 indicated a varied trend, with several major stocks experiencing notable declines while others managed to secure gains. The fluctuations in the index reflect ongoing market dynamics and investor sentiment.
