Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mix of gains and losses in its latest session, with several companies experiencing notable changes in their stock prices. Hyundai Motor emerged as a significant gainer, witnessing a sharp increase of 31,500 in its share price, closing at 315,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries saw an uptick of 7,000, closing at 534,000. GS E and C's shares also rose by 1,270, ending at 20,350, while SLCORP increased by 1,650 to close at 45,650. Samsung Electronics reported a rise of 3,300, reaching 108,400, and Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. saw an increase of 5,000, closing at 307,500.
Other notable gains included Hyundai Engineering and Construction with an increase of 6,800, bringing their closing price to 75,100, and KIWOOM, which rose by 5,500, closing at 287,500. LG Display's shares went up by 420, finishing at 13,270, and Kakao reported an increase of 1,300, closing at 61,500.
On the other hand, several companies experienced declines. KPIC's shares fell by 1,400 to close at 143,900, while DB Insurance saw a decrease of 200, ending at 125,200. Yuhan's stock dropped by 1,100, closing at 117,300, and SK experienced a decline of 2,000, finishing at 264,000.
Additionally, Amorepacific Holdings saw a slight decline of 50, closing at 27,950, and Samyang Food fell by 7,000, ending at 1,297,000. NCsoft's shares dropped by 3,000, closing at 212,000, while Samsung SDS decreased by 1,500, ending at 176,000.
The session concluded with a mix of gains and losses across various sectors represented in the KOSPI 200 index.
