Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a varied performance, with notable movements in technology and construction stocks. SK hynix saw a significant rise, with its stock climbing by 4,800 to close at 190,800. Hyundai Engineering and Construction also experienced an increase, with its stock price going up by 2,200 to 43,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant gainers included HD Hyundai Electric, which saw a substantial increase of 12,500, closing at 335,500. BGF Retail's stock also surged by 6,200, ending the day at 112,900. In the financial sector, Woori Financial Group's shares rose by 110, closing at 17,830, while KakaoBank recorded a rise of 1,200, finishing at 23,300.
Meanwhile, several companies experienced declines. Samsung Biologics saw a decrease, with its stock dropping by 44,000 to 1,041,000. SKBP also faced a significant decline, with its stock falling by 8,400 to 99,000. Additionally, KCC's shares dropped by 2,500, closing at 250,000, and SKCHEM saw a decrease of 750, closing at 39,850.
Several stocks maintained their positions without any change. Taihan Electric Wire and Hyundai Marine and Fire Insurance both saw no movement, closing at 11,760 and 21,950, respectively. Similarly, Orion and HYBE ended unchanged at 122,700 and 264,500.
