KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Gains for Samsung Heavy Industries and LG Innotek

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a mixed trading session as several significant companies reported fluctuations in their closing prices. Among the noteworthy gainers were Samsung Heavy Industries, which recorded an increase, closing at 13,400, up by 50 points, and LG Innotek, which saw a substantial rise, concluding at 147,100, up by 4,300 points.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies contributing to the upward trend in the KOSPI 200 included Lotte Chemical Corp, which ended the session at 54,700, up by 1,200 points, and Hyundai WIA, closing at 38,650 with an increase of 700 points. Kumho Petrochemical also saw a positive movement, closing at 110,600, up by 4,200 points.

Conversely, some companies experienced declines. HD Hyundai Mipo closed at 125,600, down by 3,100 points, and Mobis ended at 251,500, a decrease of 1,000 points. Hanwha Aerospace and Amorepacific were also among the decliners, with their closing prices dropping by 4,000 and 3,900 points, respectively.

SK hynix closed on a positive note with an increase of 7,700 points, finishing at 198,800. Hanmi Pharm, another notable gainer, rose by 13,500 points to close at 251,500. Meanwhile, SK Innovation and HYBE ended the session with gains of 2,400 and 3,000 points, closing at 125,800 and 236,000, respectively.

Additional fluctuations included a decline for Hankook and Company, which closed at 16,000, down by 920 points, and a rise for Kolon Industries, which ended at 28,400, up by 1,900 points. Overall, the KOSPI 200 exhibited a varied performance with both upward and downward trends among its constituent companies.
