KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Financial Sector Gains

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index has displayed a varied performance with notable gains in the financial sector, as observed in the latest closing prices. The index highlights movements across several sectors, with both advancements and declines recorded among key players.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Meritz Financial led the gains with an increase of 6,000, reaching a closing price of 112,400. The financial sector saw additional upward movements with BNK Financial Group rising by 250 to 12,040, and iM Financial Group increasing by 120 to close at 11,900. SKSQUARE also posted a significant gain, climbing 8,200 to 163,700.

In contrast, several companies experienced declines, with Samsung Biologics seeing a decrease of 24,000 to settle at 992,000. KRAFTON faced a drop of 7,500, closing at 350,500, while HYBE declined by 4,000, ending at 303,000. Additionally, HanmiPharm recorded an increase of 1,500, bringing its closing price to 303,500.

Doosan Bobcat marked a notable rise of 6,000, reaching 58,200, and HD Hyundai Electric climbed by 4,000 to 474,000. Meanwhile, HD Hyundai experienced a modest increase of 500, closing at 129,300. Conversely, KOLMAR KOREA witnessed a decline of 1,600, settling at 88,700, and Hanwha Vision saw a reduction of 1,500, closing at 48,150.

Overall, the KOSPI 200's mixed results reflect a dynamic market environment, with financial stocks showing resilience while other sectors faced challenges.
