Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a range of movements with notable gains in the energy and finance sectors, while several technology stocks experienced declines. Among prominent movers, LG Energy Solution rose by 4,500 to close at 403,000, and KCC increased by 8,500 to reach 438,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the finance sector showed positive performance with KB Financial Group climbing 3,600 to settle at 133,100, and Meritz Financial advancing 2,300 to close at 106,900. Similarly, BNK Financial Group appreciated 550, ending the day at 15,350.
In the energy sector, SK Innovation increased by 2,800, closing at 109,000, while S-Oil rose by 500 to finish at 90,600. On the other hand, technology companies such as SamsungElecMech saw a decline, dropping 10,000 to close at 282,000, and LG Innotek fell 5,500, ending at 280,000.
The index also noted gains in companies like SamyangFood, which rose 37,000 to finish at 1,223,000, and CJ CheilJedang, which climbed 5,500 to end at 213,000. Meanwhile, KIA CORP. experienced a decrease, dropping 5,600 to close at 163,900.
