Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index has witnessed a day of mixed performances with several stocks experiencing significant price changes. Among the notable movements, DongwonInd closed at 38,600, down by 200, while MIRAE ASSET SEC saw an increase, closing at 68,700, up by 1,800. SKC also experienced an upward trend, closing at 124,700 with an increase of 8,600.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LS saw a substantial rise with its stock price climbing by 27,500 to close at 426,000. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries also recorded a gain, closing at 67,300, up by 2,000. GS Retail increased by 700, ending at 24,000. ISUPETASYS closed at 155,500, marking an increase of 2,100.

However, several stocks faced downward trends. GC Biopharma Corp. decreased by 1,300 to close at 141,600, while KPIC dropped by 2,200, finishing at 157,200. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. saw a decline, closing at 635,000, down by 6,000. OTOKI and DN Automotive also faced decreases, closing at 365,500 and 41,300, respectively.

On a positive note, HYOSUNG HEAVY saw a significant increase, closing at 3,941,000, up by 389,000. LG Energy Solution, however, faced a decrease, closing at 464,000, down by 17,000. Meanwhile, HtlShilla experienced an increase, closing at 65,900, up by 3,600. SamsungElecMech also saw a rise, closing at 794,000, up by 6,000.

KIWOOM and KIH recorded gains, closing at 453,000 and 260,500, respectively. DWEC saw a small increase, finishing at 33,200. POSCO INTERNATIONAL remained unchanged at 81,300. On the other hand, SamyangFood faced a decline, closing at 1,301,000, down by 14,000, while CJ CheilJedang decreased by 2,000, closing at 234,000.

In the aerospace sector, Korea Aerospace rose slightly, closing at 171,700, up by 300. KUMHOTIRE also saw a minor increase, closing at 6,110. Meanwhile, KEPCO KPS and LG HandH both experienced gains, closing at 64,500 and 254,000, respectively.

In contrast, LGCHEM faced a decline, closing at 379,500, down by 12,000. KEPCO EandC also saw a decrease, finishing at 192,100. Meanwhile, ShinhanGroup dropped by 300, closing at 99,700. SANIL ELECTRIC experienced a positive shift, closing at 231,500, up by 9,500, while Hyundai Rotem saw a decrease, finishing at 231,000.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index presented a varied picture with stocks experiencing both gains and losses, reflecting a day of mixed trading activities.
