KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Major Companies Show Varied Stock Movements

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a range of performances as companies experienced both gains and losses in their stock prices. Notable movements included Samsung Elec Mech, which saw an increase, while companies like Hanmi Science and HtlShilla ended the day with declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Elec Mech experienced a rise in its stock price, closing at 568,000, marking an increase of 3,000. In contrast, Hanmi Science's stock fell by 550 to close at 38,350, and HtlShilla saw a decrease of 1,550, ending at 48,550. Other companies like Hanchem, KEPCO, and Hyundai Rotem also faced declines in their stock values.

SBHC and Taihan Cable and Solution reported positive growth, with SBHC increasing by 400 to close at 63,500, and Taihan Cable and Solution rising by 300 to finish at 32,000. Meanwhile, Asia Holdings and KIWOOM also recorded upticks in their stock prices, closing at 278,500 and 462,500 respectively, with gains of 1,000 and 9,500.

Despite some companies reporting increases, several others faced downward movements. KEPCO's stock dropped by 1,200 to 42,200, and KIA Corp. decreased by 1,600, closing at 147,400. Similarly, CJ Logistics and Hyundai Autoever saw significant declines, finishing at 103,100 and 388,000 respectively.

The day also saw mixed results from other key players such as DOOSAN, which rose by 13,000 to 1,294,000, and LS Electric, which enjoyed an increase of 21,600 to 179,200. On the other hand, LG Chem faced a drop of 16,000, ending at 340,000, and LGElectronics decreased by 3,100, closing at 115,300.
