KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Major Companies Experience Declines

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed performance as several major companies witnessed declines in their stock prices, amid fluctuations in the stock market. The closing prices revealed a downward trend for many prominent firms.

According to Yonhap News Agency, KIA Corporation saw a significant drop, with its stock falling by 19,300 to close at 130,500. Samsung SDS also experienced a decline, with its stock price decreasing by 8,500 to settle at 209,500. Similarly, SK Corporation's shares fell by 25,000, closing at 630,000. Other notable declines included OCI, which dropped by 11,600 to 76,700, and Samsung C and T, which decreased by 18,000 to 342,000.

Despite the overall downward trend, some companies saw an increase in their stock prices. Hyundai M and F Insurance rose by 1,750 to 40,350, while Coway's stock increased by 1,100 to end at 91,800. Additionally, KT advanced by 1,400, closing at 54,100, and KT and G rose by 3,000, reaching 182,600. The index also noted gains for KEPCO KPS, which climbed by 650 to 47,100.

Overall, the closing figures from the KOSPI 200 revealed a challenging day for many major companies, with several stocks experiencing declines. However, a few companies managed to show gains, reflecting a mixed performance across the board.
