KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Key Stocks Show Varied Movements

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed performance with notable fluctuations in the stock prices of major companies.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies experienced significant shifts in their stock values, reflecting the dynamic nature of the market.

Leading the gains, KIH saw a remarkable increase, closing at 262,000, which marks an upswing of 22,000. Another standout performer was LIG Defense and Aerospace, which rose by 42,000 to close at 983,000. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. also posted a noteworthy gain, climbing 10,000 to reach 705,000.

On the other hand, some companies faced declines. GS suffered a decrease, closing at 80,900, a drop of 1,000. Similarly, Celltrion's stock price fell by 2,700, ending at 197,800. OCI Holdings experienced a significant decline, dropping 12,500 to close at 355,500.

Other companies that registered increases included HYOSUNG HEAVY, which jumped 316,000 to an impressive 4,228,000, and LS ELECTRIC, which rose by 16,000 to close at 294,000. Korea Zinc also saw an increase, closing at 1,629,000, up by 50,000.

In contrast, GS E and C dropped by 2,100 to 35,950, while DL E and C saw a significant decrease, falling 7,700 to close at 91,300. S-1 also faced a downturn, with a decrease of 7,800, ending at 78,300.

Overall, while some companies enjoyed substantial gains, others experienced declines, highlighting the varied performance within the KOSPI 200 index.
