Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed varied movements in stock prices, with notable gains and losses across different sectors. NC led the upward trend with a closing price of 232,500, marking an increase of 4,500. Similarly, KIWOOM closed at 300,000, up by 1,500. However, despite these gains, several stocks experienced declines, including HD Hyundai and HD Hyundai Electric, which fell by 12,000 and 13,000, respectively.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung-related stocks showed mixed results as well. Samsung EandA saw a modest increase of 50, closing at 47,650, while Samsung CandT dropped by 2,500, ending the day at 339,500. Meanwhile, Samsung Card rose by 1,400 to 50,200. Among other financial entities, Meritz Financial ended the session at 125,600, up by 2,300, while iM Financial Group saw a decrease of 160, settling at 18,090.
Stocks such as Lotte Wellfood and Kolon Industries showed positive movements, closing at 103,500 and 54,300, respectively. In contrast, PanOcean experienced a slight decline, dropping by 40 to 5,240. HD CE and Hyundai Autoever recorded significant gains, with increases of 1,900 and 15,000, respectively. On the other hand, Hanwha Systems saw a notable drop of 5,200, closing at 63,000.
The technology sector also displayed mixed performance, with d'Alba Global making a substantial gain of 19,000 to close at 259,500. SK Square and HDHMS faced declines, closing at 1,096,000 and 206,000, respectively. The day concluded with several stocks maintaining their previous closing prices, such as ISU Specialty Chemical and MIWON SC, which remained unchanged at 57,400 and 120,000, respectively.
