Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed performance with notable movements in various stocks as investors weighed in on market trends. The index, which includes major blue-chip companies, saw a combination of gains and losses among its constituents.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hankook Tire and Technology experienced a rise of 400, closing at 57,700. Meritz Financial and iM Financial Group also reported increases of 800 and 140, closing at 108,700 and 14,100, respectively. KOLMAR KOREA ended at 64,800, up by 1,100, while BGF Retail registered an increase of 2,100, closing at 111,300.
However, some stocks faced declines. Hanwha Systems and Netmarble both fell by 200, closing at 50,200 and 52,300. MIWON SC decreased by 600, closing at 134,700, and HD Hyundai saw a significant drop of 8,000, closing at 209,500.
Other notable movements included KRAFTON, which rose by 3,500 to close at 257,500, while HYOSUNG TNC decreased by 2,000, ending at 213,000. HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC faced a substantial drop of 29,000, closing at 783,000. In contrast, APR saw a notable increase of 9,500, closing at 224,500.
The session concluded with SK hynix dropping by 8,000 to settle at 562,000, while HyundaiEng and Const decreased by 200, closing at 60,600. Meanwhile, SeAH Steel Holdings gained 3,100, closing at 139,000, and CJ LOGISTICS increased by 1,200, ending at 93,200.
