Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed varied performances across its listed companies, with significant gains recorded in the industrial sector. Among the notable performers, HYOSUNG HEAVY closed at 2,550,000, marking an increase of 161,000, while Samsung Electronic Mechanics saw its price rise to 402,000, up by 20,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also experienced upward movements. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. closed at 403,500, a rise of 14,500, and Korea Zinc ended at 1,625,000, up by 29,000. LG Energy Solution and LG Innotek both saw increases of 7,500, with closing prices of 367,000 and 258,000, respectively.
The gains were not universal, however. Youngone Corp experienced a decline, closing at 86,200, down by 5,300. Similarly, OCI Holdings and S-Oil saw decreases, with their prices falling to 141,700 and 117,900, respectively. Samsung Heavy Industries and S-1 also faced downturns, with their prices dropping to 27,850 and 82,300.
Several companies remained stable or experienced smaller changes. Hanwha Solutions remained unchanged at 50,500, while F and F, GS E and C, and GS Retail saw modest gains. The overall performance of the KOSPI 200 reflects both growth and contraction across various sectors.
