Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index presented a day of mixed outcomes as various major companies experienced notable shifts in their stock prices. Leading the charge in upward movements, LG Energy Solution closed at 335,500, marking an increase of 7,000. Another significant gainer was Hyosung Heavy, which saw its prices rise by 330,000 to close at 2,985,000. Meanwhile, HyundaiAutoever registered an increase of 20,500, ending the day at 414,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also recorded gains, such as SKBP, which went up by 2,200 to reach 82,000. KCC experienced a rise of 35,500, closing at 432,000, and Hanwha Engine saw its stocks increase by 5,300, ending at 46,050. Additionally, HDHMS and CSWIND reported gains of 8,200 and 1,150 respectively.
In contrast, several companies faced declines. SK Innovation fell by 2,100, closing at 109,200, while KakaoBank dropped by 300 to end at 21,550. Notably, Kakaopay witnessed a decrease of 2,250, closing at 41,550. Meanwhile, Hyundai Department Store saw a significant drop of 8,300, wrapping up the day at 110,100.
Despite the fluctuations, some companies remained unchanged. HYBE and CHONGKUNDANG closed at 181,000 and 67,500, respectively, without any movement from their previous values. Overall, the KOSPI 200 displayed a day of varied performances across different sectors.
