KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements with Significant Gains for Samsung Biologics and Krafton

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a mix of gains and declines in its latest trading session, highlighting notable performances in several sectors. Among the standout performers was Samsung Biologics, which saw its share price climb to 1,395,000, marking an increase of 50,000. Krafton also experienced a significant surge, with its price rising by 12,000 to reach 234,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the trading session also observed substantial gains for HyundaiAutoever, which closed at 376,500 after an increase of 5,000. The financial sector showed mixed results, with BNK Financial Group advancing by 400 to 18,100, while Meritz Financial remained steady at 113,000. iM Financial Group also saw an uptick, rising by 240 to 18,140.

Retail and technology sectors displayed varied outcomes. Emart saw its share price increase by 4,400 to 79,900, and KakaoPay rose by 1,100 to 40,800. In contrast, KakaoBank experienced a decline, dropping by 350 to 22,200. Among other notable declines, HYBE fell by 4,600 to 198,400, and APR decreased by 3,000 to 365,000.

The automotive industry saw contrasting movements with Hankook Tire and Technology increasing by 800 to 70,900, while HANJINKAL dropped by 3,100 to 102,800. The energy sector recorded positive trends, with HD Hyundai Electric climbing by 26,000 to 778,000 and HD CE rising by 1,100 to 122,200.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index's latest session reflected a varied performance across different sectors, with certain companies achieving notable gains while others faced declines.
