Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited mixed movements as trading concluded with several companies experiencing significant gains and losses. Notable among the top gainers were HD Hyundai Electric, which closed at 1,299,000, marking an increase of 47,000, and Sanil Electric, which rose by 67,500 to reach a closing price of 333,500. LS also saw a significant increase, closing at 509,000, up by 56,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, among the other gainers were Samsung C and T, which climbed by 21,500 to finish at 320,000, and Krafton, which rose by 23,500 to close at 288,500. Hanwha Systems and Doosan Bobcat also recorded gains, closing at 119,700 and 74,000, up by 2,400 and 2,000, respectively.
Conversely, some companies faced declines. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries saw a drop of 5,000, ending at 680,000. HYBE and Hyundai Autoever also experienced declines, closing at 257,500 and 446,000, down by 5,500 and 4,500, respectively. Hanmi Pharm faced the largest decrease, falling by 15,000 to end at 445,000.
The index's varied performance indicates a complex trading day with diverse investor responses. Companies such as Samsung E and A and Youngpoong recorded gains, closing at 55,000 and 67,500, up by 1,900 and 1,600, respectively. In contrast, firms like IBK and Dongsuh saw decreases, closing at 22,100 and 26,200, down by 500 each.
