KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements with LG Innotek Leading Gains

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mix of gains and losses as the closing prices reflected varied performances across multiple sectors. Prominent among the gainers was LG Innotek, which saw a significant increase in its stock price.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LG Innotek experienced a notable uptick, with its shares climbing by 12,000 to reach 283,000. Other companies that recorded gains included Samsung Electronics, which rose by 600 to 105,100, and Coway, which increased by 1,000 to 87,400. S-1 and SGBC also saw their prices rise, with S-1 up by 500 to 76,600 and SGBC increasing by 700 to 67,800.

Conversely, several companies faced declines in their stock prices. Hanwha Aerospace dropped by 11,000 to close at 855,000, while Hanchem saw a significant decrease of 13,500 to 232,500. Shinsegae and Nongshim also reported decreases, with Shinsegae falling by 6,500 to 242,000 and Nongshim down by 3,500 to 431,000.

In the tech sector, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. experienced a decline, with its stock price falling by 2,500 to 302,500. Lotte Chemical Corp and Kakao also saw dips, with Lotte Chemical Corp down by 1,100 to 73,400 and Kakao decreasing by 400 to 60,200.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Wia and IBK posted gains, with Hyundai Wia rising by 3,700 to 67,200 and IBK up by 250 to 21,100. Despite these gains, many companies such as NCsoft and LGChem faced downward trends, with NCsoft decreasing by 1,000 to 215,000 and LGChem down by 4,000 to 376,000.

The day's trading ended with mixed results, reflecting varied investor sentiment across different sectors in the KOSPI 200 index.
