Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed results, with several companies witnessing notable changes in their stock prices. NCsoft emerged as one of the leading gainers, closing at 216,500, which is an increase of 2,000. On the other hand, Hanwha Ocean saw a decline, closing at 123,000, down by 3,400.
According to Yonhap News Agency, significant upward movements were recorded by companies such as ShinhanGroup, which saw a substantial rise of 3,900, closing at 79,200. Similarly, Hyundai Department Store and Daewoong Pharmaceutical reported gains, ending the day at 88,300 and 144,900 respectively, reflecting increases of 5,300 and 4,300.
Meanwhile, technology giants NAVER and Kakao faced declines. NAVER's stock fell by 14,500 to close at 264,000, while Kakao decreased by 2,000, ending at 60,700. Other companies experiencing a dip included COSMAX and HANMISemi, which closed at 191,600 and 129,000 respectively.
On the positive side, LG Electronics saw a rise of 4,600, closing at 91,700. Financial and industrial sectors showed strength, with Hana Financial Group and KDHC recording notable gains, closing at 93,000 and 98,300, respectively.
In contrast, other companies such as SK Innovation and AMOREPACIFIC faced slight declines, closing at 120,800 and 118,600, respectively. Despite these fluctuations, several firms like Samsung Biologics and LG H and H saw their prices remain stable throughout the trading session.
