Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited varied movements in its latest trading session, with notable gains and declines among major companies. SK Hynix and Doosan were among the standout performers, achieving significant increases in their stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SK Hynix experienced a remarkable rise, with its stock price increasing by 79,000 to reach 1,504,000. Doosan also posted strong gains, with its share price climbing by 77,000 to 1,254,000. Among other gainers, LS Electric saw a rise of 5,500, bringing its stock to 208,500, while Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. increased by 26,000 to 485,500. LS Corporation also made notable progress, with its shares climbing 14,500 to 337,000.
On the other hand, several companies saw declines in their stock prices. Korea Zinc fell by 14,000 to 1,215,000, while Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance dropped 13,000 to 628,000. Nongshim experienced a decrease of 5,500, bringing its stock down to 390,000. GC Biopharma Corp. and OTOKI also faced declines, with their prices falling by 3,200 and 8,000, respectively.
In addition to the notable gainers and decliners, some companies remained stable, with Hyundai Steel and Hanwha showing no change in their stock prices. Overall, the session reflected a mix of upward and downward movements, indicating varied investor sentiments across different sectors.
