KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements as SK hynix and DOOSAN Lead Gainers

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index on the Korea Stock Exchange experienced mixed movements with notable gains and losses among its constituents. On Monday, SK hynix and DOOSAN emerged as significant gainers, while companies like Youngpoong and KCC faced declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix saw a substantial increase in its stock price, closing at KRW 1,292,000, up by KRW 70,000. DOOSAN also experienced a rise, with its shares closing at KRW 1,582,000, marking an increase of KRW 41,000. Other companies that reported gains included SBHC with an increase of KRW 1,400 to close at KRW 72,500, and HyundaiMtr, which rose by KRW 11,000 to finish at KRW 524,000.

On the downside, Youngpoong's stock fell by KRW 2,500, concluding the day at KRW 65,700. KCC saw a decrease of KRW 5,000, closing at KRW 552,000. HyundaiEngandConst and DB INSURANCE also faced declines, with their stocks dropping by KRW 1,600 and KRW 3,700, respectively.

Despite the mixed results, some companies like HYUNDAIDEPTST and Hanwha Engine stood out with notable increases. HYUNDAIDEPTST shares climbed by KRW 14,800 to reach KRW 113,300, and Hanwha Engine increased by KRW 12,500 to close at KRW 88,500.

The day's trading reflected varied performances across sectors, with some companies capitalizing on favorable conditions while others experienced declines.
