Seoul: The latest closing prices for the KOSPI 200 index have revealed a mixed performance among South Korea's major companies. Key players such as Samsung Epis Holding and SKChem experienced notable gains, while others like HANJINKAL and KEPCO E and C saw significant declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Epis Holding reported an impressive rise, with its stock closing up 48,000, indicating strong investor confidence. SKChem also showed substantial growth, with its price increasing by 5,200. Other companies that experienced gains included emart, which rose by 7,200, and LG H and H, which was up by 4,000.
However, the index also saw significant losses. HANJINKAL experienced a notable decline, with its price dropping by 13,600. KEPCO E and C faced a decrease of 7,000, and KIH fell by 7,400. Other companies such as LGCHEM and HYUNDAI ROTEM also saw declines, by 2,500 and 5,000 respectively.
