KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements as Samsung and POSCO Stocks Decline

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index recorded a variety of movements in its closing prices, with several major companies experiencing declines, while others showed gains. Samsung Electronics saw its price fall to 96,500, a decrease of 1,300. SAMSUNG SDI CO., LTD. also reported a drop, closing at 296,500, down by 5,000. Similarly, POSCO DX experienced a decline, closing at 24,650, down by 400.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies managed to post gains despite the mixed movements in the index. Coway's stock price increased to 87,600, up by 700, while SamsungE and A closed at 25,600, an increase of 300. IBK also saw an upward movement, reaching 20,300, up by 250.

Other companies that experienced notable declines include SAMSUNG C and T, which saw its price drop to 213,000, a decrease of 1,500. LOTTE SHOPPING closed at 72,100, down by 900, and CSWIND ended at 40,700, a decrease of 700. Meanwhile, KB Financial Group's stock fell to 122,200, down by 300.

On the other hand, several companies posted significant gains, such as Youngone Corp, which rose to 84,200, an increase of 1,600. HL MANDO's stock climbed to 38,900, up by 3,050, and Hanwha Vision increased to 47,850, up by 2,050. Additionally, Nongshim saw a substantial rise, closing at 469,000, up by 8,000, and Shinsegae ended at 225,500, up by 3,500.

Despite these gains, some companies continued to face declines. LOTTE Fine Chem closed at 46,350, down by 950, and POSCO FUTURE M ended at 195,900, a decrease of 4,100. Hanmi Science reported a drop, closing at 38,000, down by 550.
