KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements as Key Stocks Close Higher and Lower

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements on Friday with several key stocks closing higher while others faced declines. Stocks such as CJ Logistics and Doosan saw an increase in their closing prices, whereas companies like DL and Hankook and Company witnessed a dip.

According to Yonhap News Agency, CJ Logistics closed at 84,200 KRW, marking an increase of 1,200 KRW. Doosan also saw a significant rise, closing at 345,000 KRW with an upward change of 14,500 KRW. Other stocks that reported gains include Kia Corp., which closed at 89,300 KRW, up by 1,500 KRW, and Hanwha, closing at 52,000 KRW with an increase of 2,050 KRW.

Conversely, several stocks saw a decline in their closing prices. DL closed at 33,450 KRW, down by 400 KRW, while Hankook and Company fell by 180 KRW to close at 15,000 KRW. SK hynix and Hyundai Engineering and Construction also recorded declines, closing at 190,100 KRW and 41,200 KRW, respectively.

Other notable movements included the increase in the closing price of Hyundai Motor, which rose by 2,800 KRW to close at 189,900 KRW. Samyang Food also experienced a substantial increase, closing at 993,000 KRW, up by 21,000 KRW. In contrast, POSCO Future M saw a decline, closing at 120,500 KRW, down by 6,000 KRW.
