Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a variety of movements as numerous companies experienced fluctuations in their stock prices. While some corporations enjoyed gains, others faced declines, influencing the overall market landscape.
According to Yonhap News Agency, notable performances included POSCO Holdings, which saw an ascent in its stock price, closing at 314,000, marking an increase of 6,000. Similarly, HDKSOE experienced a significant rise, with its stock price climbing by 7,500 to reach 410,500. LS ELECTRIC also recorded a substantial increase, with its closing price advancing by 19,500 to 474,500. Korea Zinc's stock surged by 84,000, closing at 1,372,000. Samsung Epis Holding saw a notable jump of 59,000, with its stock reaching 739,000. Hanwha Aerospace and Mobis also made upward strides, increasing by 79,000 and 8,500 respectively.
Conversely, several companies faced declines. MiwonComcl's stock decreased by 5,200, closing at 149,700. LotteChilsung experienced a drop of 1,200, finishing at 138,900. SamsungElecMech and F and F saw declines of 1,500 and 2,900 respectively, ending at 257,500 and 70,000. YoungoneHoldings' stock fell by 1,400 to 189,800. Other companies such as S-1 and KumhoPetrochem witnessed decreases of 4,600 and 1,500 respectively.
In addition, some companies remained stable or experienced minimal changes. LG Corp. maintained its position at 81,500, while GKL saw a modest increase of 40, ending at 14,630. Overall, the KOSPI 200 index showcased a diverse range of stock performances, reflecting the dynamic nature of the market.
