Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed significant upward movement as several major companies posted gains. Notable performers included LG Energy Solution, HYOSUNG HEAVY, and SamsungEandA, all contributing to a positive trend in the market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LG Energy Solution surged by 12,500 to close at 328,500, while HYOSUNG HEAVY increased by 160,000, ending the day at 2,655,000. SamsungEandA also reported a rise, climbing 3,350 to close at 47,750. Among the other gainers, LS ELECTRIC saw an increase of 8,600, closing at 197,000, and LGCHEM went up by 9,500, finishing at 256,500.

Several other companies also experienced growth, including YoulchonChem, which was up 440 to close at 13,790, and Hanssem, which posted a gain of 1,200, ending at 39,000. In the heavy industries sector, SamsungHvyInd rose by 750 to 21,650, while KEPCO saw an increase of 650, closing at 35,150.

Despite the overall positive trend, some companies recorded declines. Mobis dropped by 12,000 to close at 481,500, while SK fell by 5,000, ending at 518,000. LOTTE SHOPPING also saw a decrease, down 1,600 to close at 114,700.

As the market continues to fluctuate, these movements in the KOSPI 200 indicate a dynamic trading environment with investors responding to various economic signals and company performances.
