KOSPI 200 Sees Gains Across Multiple Companies

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed significant movement with several companies showing upward trends in their closing prices. Among the top gainers were LG Innotek, which saw a rise of 90,000 to close at 514,000, and SK, which increased by 88,500 to reach 557,000. Other notable increases included Hanwha Aerospace, closing at 917,000 after a rise of 52,000, and Korea Zinc, which climbed 74,000 to a final price of 999,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the automotive sector also experienced positive growth, with HyundaiEngandConst ending the day at 94,600, up by 12,900, and Mobis gaining 31,000 to close at 476,000. Meanwhile, SamsungFandMIns reported an increase of 14,000, closing at 632,000. In contrast, some companies faced declines, such as Asia Holdings, which dropped 21,000 to settle at 193,000, and MiwonComcl, which fell by 3,700, ending at 123,200.

Hanon Systems, CJ, and Hanmi Science also saw upward movement, with Hanon Systems increasing by 40 to 3,305, CJ rising 5,200 to 129,400, and Hanmi Science up by 1,100 to close at 35,850. Conversely, the day was not favorable for all sectors; companies like KT and LOTTE WELLFOOD experienced a downturn, with KT decreasing by 900 to 51,900, and LOTTE WELLFOOD dropping 3,000 to finish at 103,000.

The technology sector showed varied results, with SamsungEandA increasing by 2,800 to 43,800, while Samsung Card saw a decrease of 350, closing at 47,000. Other gainers included Hanwha Solutions, up by 2,000 to 25,500, and OCI Holdings, which rose 14,900 to reach 190,300. The mixed performance highlights the dynamic nature of the market amid varying economic factors.
