KOSPI 200 Sees Decline as Multiple Companies Suffer Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced notable declines as numerous companies reported losses in their closing prices. Prominent firms such as Daewoong Pharm and Amorepacific saw their stock prices drop significantly, contributing to the overall downward trend in the market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Daewoong Pharm's closing price fell by 2,900, settling at 142,000. Similarly, Amorepacific experienced a substantial decrease of 8,200, ending at 122,000. Other major companies such as HD Hyundai Electric and Korea Zinc also faced significant declines, with their prices dropping by 88,000 and 85,000 respectively.

Several financial and industrial firms were not spared from the downturn. Hana Financial Group's stock decreased by 7,500, closing at 119,000, while Kolon Industries saw a reduction of 7,700, ending at 79,900. These declines indicate a challenging period for the financial sector within the index.

Despite the overall negative trend, a few companies managed to achieve gains. Misto Holdings and DN Automotive saw increases in their closing prices, with Misto Holdings rising by 1,200 to 39,200 and DN Automotive climbing by 2,600 to 50,900. Additionally, Orion Holdings experienced an increase of 3,500, reaching 28,300.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 showed a mixed performance with some companies managing to rise amidst widespread declines. The market's fluctuations underscore the volatility and uncertainties that continue to affect the financial landscape.
