Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a day of predominantly positive movement, with several key stocks showing notable gains. Among the companies that saw an increase in their stock prices, HD Hyundai Electric and SK SQUARE stood out with significant upward trends.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Electric's stock price rose by 34,000, reaching 941,000, while SK SQUARE experienced a substantial increase of 45,000, bringing its stock price to 554,000. Other major gainers included LS ELECTRIC, which increased by 43,000 to close at 724,000, and KRAFTON, which saw a rise of 18,500 to end at 237,000.
In addition, HANJINKAL experienced a significant increase, up by 10,500 to reach 124,500. ORION's stock price rose by 2,500, closing at 128,500. Notably, HYOSUNG TNC also saw an increase of 24,500, bringing its price to 330,000.
Several other companies, including HyundaiAutoever and KCC, reported gains of 16,000 and 17,500, respectively. The former closed at 399,500, while the latter ended the day at 511,000. The day's trading also saw increases for companies like APR, BGF Retail, and HL MANDO, among others.
However, not all companies experienced gains. MIWON SC faced a decrease of 1,200, closing at 123,400, while HANWHA SYSTEMS dropped by 6,500, ending at 156,200. Additionally, HDHMS saw a decline of 2,700, closing at 166,400.
Overall, the KOSPI 200's performance on this trading day was marked by broad gains across various sectors.
