Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showed a mixed performance as a variety of companies reported different movements in their stock prices. Notable increases were witnessed in the shares of several firms, while others experienced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Rotem saw a slight increase with its stock price rising by 100 to reach 78,800. LG H and H reported a more substantial gain, with its shares climbing by 5,500 to 309,500. LGChem also saw an uptick, with a 500 increase to 221,500. KEPCO E and C experienced a rise of 2,600, bringing its stock price to 69,400. Celltrion's shares were up by 700, ending at 179,700, and LG Electronics reported a 600 gain, closing at 79,700.
ShinhanGroup's stock price dropped by 300, resulting in a closing price of 49,100. JB Financial Group faced a decrease of 600, closing at 17,740. AMOREPACIFIC saw a decline of 900, with its shares priced at 116,600. Poongsan and Hansae also reported decreases, with their stock prices falling by 1,500 and 700, respectively.
On the other hand, companies like HanmiPharm and PIAM reported positive performances, with their stock prices increasing by 1,000, closing at 264,500 and 21,900, respectively. Samsung Biologics had a significant rise of 44,000, ending at 1,174,000. Other companies such as Meritz Financial and BGF Retail also saw notable gains, with their stock prices increasing by 1,300 and 1,900, respectively.
Meanwhile, some companies experienced declines in their stock prices. LG Energy Solution's shares dropped by 3,500, bringing the price to 343,000. Kolmar Korea and Chongkundang both saw a decrease of 1,200, with their stock prices closing at 58,500 and 81,300, respectively.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected varied performances across different sectors, showcasing both advancements and setbacks among the listed companies.
