Seoul: The recent closing prices for the KOSPI 200 stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange experienced a mix of gains and losses. Key players in the market saw varied performances, reflecting a complex trading day.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KIA Corp. showed a positive trend with an increase of 2,100 KRW, closing at 99,600 KRW. Similarly, Hyundai Motor experienced a rise, closing at 205,000 KRW, up by 3,500 KRW. SK hynix also saw a rise, ending the day at 249,000 KRW with a gain of 1,000 KRW.
On the other hand, several companies witnessed declines. Hanwha's stock dropped by 4,500 KRW, closing at 96,100 KRW. CJ experienced a significant decrease of 5,100 KRW, ending at 147,900 KRW. SeAH Steel Holdings faced one of the largest drops, closing at 217,500 KRW, a decrease of 9,000 KRW.
Despite these losses, some companies managed to post gains. Samyang Food increased by 9,000 KRW, closing at 1,288,000 KRW, while Taekwang Industrial surged by 68,000 KRW to 1,129,000 KRW. POSCO Future M also climbed by 1,700 KRW, finishing at 120,200 KRW.
Overall, the market showed a mixed pattern, with both upward and downward movements across different sectors and companies.
