Seoul: Recent trading results for the KOSPI 200 index reflect a mixed performance across various sectors. Notable changes include significant gains and slight declines among key companies in the South Korean market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, prominent gainers in the index include KCC, which saw an increase of 38,000, closing at 542,000. HyundaiMtr also experienced a rise of 13,000, bringing its closing price to 491,500. Mobis followed closely with a gain of 13,500, reaching a closing price of 405,000. Meanwhile, KIH and Samsung Life marked considerable increases of 11,500 and 11,000, closing at 257,500 and 246,000 respectively.
On the other hand, some companies experienced declines. Hanwha Aerospace witnessed a decrease of 7,000, closing at 1,523,000, while KumhoPetrochem and HMM recorded declines of 800 and 150, closing at 133,300 and 21,000 respectively. COSMOCHEM also saw a slight drop of 70, ending at 15,680.
Several companies showed positive movement, including SamsungElec, which rose by 5,500 to close at 206,500, and DB INSURANCE, which increased by 4,300, closing at 171,500. Coway and MIRAE ASSET SEC also showed gains, with increases of 1,500 and 7,100, closing at 81,400 and 72,400 respectively.
Conversely, some companies remained stable, such as LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp, which did not experience any change, maintaining its closing price at 88,600. The varied performance highlights the dynamic nature of the KOSPI 200 and the market forces influencing these companies.
