Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased a mixed performance with both gains and declines across various sectors. Among the top performers were KRAFTON and BGF Retail, which experienced significant increases in their stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KRAFTON's stock surged by 15,000 to close at 382,500, marking a substantial gain for the company. BGF Retail also saw a notable increase, with its shares rising by 4,300 to end the trading session at 121,000. Other companies that experienced gains included HYBE, which increased by 5,500 to 304,000, and Netmarble, which climbed up 3,200 to reach 60,200.
Conversely, several companies faced declines. SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS saw a decrease of 6,000, closing at 1,004,000. HD HYUNDAI experienced a drop of 4,700, ending at 127,700, while SKSQUARE fell by 5,000 to 148,400. ORION also reported a decline, with its stock down by 3,300 to 106,900.
Other notable movements included KakaoBank's slight increase by 150 to 27,600 and kakaopay's rise by 2,900 to 60,800. Despite the mixed results, the market displayed resilience with several companies achieving strong growth amidst broader fluctuations.
