Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed varied movements as several companies reported changes in their stock prices. Among the notable gainers were HD Hyundai Electric and APR, which saw substantial increases. Conversely, companies like Samsung Biologics and MIWON SC experienced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Electric recorded a significant rise, closing at 451,000, up by 14,000. APR followed closely with a surge of 11,700, ending at 161,200. Other notable gainers included KOLMAR KOREA, which increased by 3,500 to 102,600, and SKSQUARE, climbing by 10,900 to 172,900.
In contrast, Samsung Biologics faced a decline of 16,000, closing at 1,013,000. MIWON SC decreased by 600 to reach 145,200. Additionally, BGF Retail and SKCHEM experienced drops, with BGF Retail down by 900 to 123,700 and SKCHEM falling by 800 to 72,500.
The financial sector saw movements as well, with Woori Financial Group rising by 1,950 to 25,400, and KakaoBank increasing by 800 to 30,050. Meanwhile, DENTIUM and CHONGKUNDANG saw declines, with DENTIUM decreasing by 600 to 62,600 and CHONGKUNDANG down by 1,100 to 84,800.
Overall, the trading session reflected diverse performances across different sectors, with gains and losses shaping the day's market dynamics.
