KOSPI 200 Index Witnesses Mixed Outcomes with Major Losses in Tech and Gains in Select Industries

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced fluctuations as various companies saw changes in their stock prices, reflecting a mixed day on the market. Notably, technology and manufacturing sectors faced declines, while some sectors managed to record gains.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies reported decreases in their stock prices. Korea Aerospace saw a fall of 10,700, closing at 155,900. Tech giants such as Kakao and NCsoft also experienced declines, with Kakao down 1,200 to 57,300 and NCsoft dropping 7,500 to 236,500. Similarly, NAVER's shares fell by 2,000, closing at 245,500.

In contrast, some companies reported gains. KIWOOM's stock increased by 4,000, reaching 330,000, while LG H and H saw an uptick of 1,500, closing at 264,500. KEPCO KPS and LGELECTRONICS also reported increases, rising by 2,500 and 4,400, respectively.

Significant losses were observed in other industries as well. Hyundai Rotem's shares decreased by 4,500, ending at 215,000, and L and F saw a decline of 6,900, closing at 108,700. Mobis experienced a substantial drop of 19,500, closing at 431,000.

On the other hand, some companies had positive performances. Shinsegae's shares rose significantly by 5,500, ending at 285,500, while LS ELECTRIC recorded an increase of 7,000, reaching 533,000. Korea Zinc showed a notable rise, increasing by 147,000, ending at 1,585,000.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index showcased a mixed landscape with various sectors experiencing differing outcomes, highlighting the dynamic nature of the stock market.
