KOSPI 200 Index Shows Mixed Movements with Key Gains and Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed mixed movements as several companies recorded gains while others faced declines in their stock prices. Notably, some key players in the index experienced significant changes in their closing prices.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HANWHA LIFE saw an increase in its stock price, closing at 3,030, up by 20 points. SKSQUARE made a substantial leap, with its price rising by 10,500 points to reach 293,500. Similarly, HDHMS experienced an upturn, closing at 211,000 after an 8,500-point increase. Doosan Robotics also marked a rise, ending at 73,600, up by 100 points.

ECOPRO MAT and OCI followed the upward trend, closing at 59,300 and 59,600 respectively, with increments of 1,500 and 1,300 points. ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL, however, recorded a decline, dropping by 100 points to end at 51,300. SGBC and LOTTE Fine Chem closed higher at 59,300 and 46,550, respectively, while HYUNDAI STEEL and Nongshim also posted gains, closing at 30,900 and 472,000, respectively.

Shinsegae recorded a notable increase, ending at 232,500 with a rise of 7,000 points. In contrast, LotteChilsung and HyundaiMtr faced decreases, closing at 121,700 and 262,000, respectively. COWAY and Hanon Systems also experienced declines, while SKTelecom remained unchanged at 53,400.

POSCO DX and Hanwha Systems showed positive movements, with closing prices of 25,400 and 3,565, respectively. SK and HankukCarbon gained, closing at 263,500 and 28,350, respectively. Conversely, Hyundai Elevator and IBK saw declines, closing at 79,700 and 20,200, respectively.

In the retail sector, LOTTE SHOPPING rose by 1,200 points to close at 73,300. Meanwhile, SamsungE and A, PanOcean, and DAEWOONG PHARM also posted gains. However, SAMSUNG CARD and LOTTE WELLFOOD faced declines, closing lower at 53,000 and 123,700, respectively. CheilWorldwide, HDC HOLDINGS, and S-1 finished the day with gains.

KEPCO and DWS also closed on a higher note, while SamsungSecu and Hanchem saw their stock prices increase to 79,600 and 224,500, respectively.
