KOSPI 200 Index Sees Decline in Major Stocks

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index recorded a downturn as several major companies experienced a fall in their stock prices. Among the prominent decliners were HYOSUNG HEAVY, which saw its share price drop by 68,000 to 2,219,000, and KRAFTON, which decreased by 16,000 to 263,000. LG Energy Solution also faced a reduction, closing at 464,000, down by 9,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the declines extended to other significant players, including HD HYUNDAI, which witnessed a decrease of 7,500 to close at 203,000, and HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC, which fell by 50,000 to 868,000. POSCO Holdings experienced a drop of 7,000, settling at 305,500, while Samsung Electronics closed at 100,600, down by 4,300.

Despite the overall decline, some companies managed to record gains. Meritz Financial's stock rose by 600 to reach 113,900, and MIWON SC increased by 800 to 137,500. Hyundai M and F INS also reported an uptick, closing at 27,400, up by 400. Additionally, Lotte Chilsung saw a rise in its share price, ending at 121,000, which is an increase of 500.
