KOSPI 200 Gains as Major Stocks Record Increases

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw significant gains today, with several major companies reporting increased stock prices. Leading the charge was Hyosung TNC, which experienced an increase of 45,500, closing at 414,500. Other notable increases included Hanmi Pharm, which rose by 36,000 to 503,000, and Samsung C and T, which saw a rise of 24,000, closing at 315,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant gains were recorded by LGCHEM, which increased by 10,000 to 306,500, and Shinhan Group, which went up by 5,500 to 88,000. Samsung Life also showed a notable increase, rising by 7,300 to close at 186,300. Hyundai Rotem and KEPCO E and C saw gains of 7,500 and 6,700, closing at 222,000 and 132,100 respectively.

The report highlighted that LG CNS and Woori Financial Group experienced increases of 2,400 and 1,200, closing at 69,600 and 31,300 respectively. Meanwhile, Samsung Card and KT both closed at 56,500, with increases of 1,600 and 1,300 respectively. The financial sector also saw positive movements, with Hana Financial Group rising by 6,900 to 110,200 and Meritz Financial climbing by 2,200 to 119,600.

Other companies like ECOPRO MAT and CSWIND saw their stock prices rise by 2,600 and 2,650, closing at 66,900 and 41,850 respectively. Telecommunications company LG Uplus increased by 160, closing at 16,060. Sanil Electric also saw an increase of 12,000, closing at 148,200.

On the other hand, Cheil Worldwide and LOTTE WELLFOOD saw slight decreases, with Cheil Worldwide dropping by 200 to 20,900 and LOTTE WELLFOOD decreasing by 300 to 118,800. Despite some declines, the overall market performance was positive, driven by notable increases in stock prices across various sectors.
