Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a widespread decline in its closing prices, with most listed companies experiencing a downturn. Among the notable decliners was HyundaiAutoever, which saw a significant drop of 38,500, closing at 451,000. Similarly, SKSQUARE and Samsung Biologics recorded substantial decreases, with their prices falling by 19,000 and 17,000, respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the only companies to register gains were APR and HANILCMT. APR's stock price increased by 6,000, closing at 396,500, while HANILCMT saw a modest rise of 140, ending the day at 15,040. Despite these gains, the overall market sentiment was negative.

HD Hyundai Electric and Kolmar Korea were among the major losers, with prices dropping by 18,000 and 7,000, respectively. Other companies such as HL Mando, COSMAX, and Orion also faced declines, contributing to the overall downturn in the index.

Moreover, the financial sector was not spared, as BNK Financial Group and iM Financial Group both experienced reductions in their stock prices, indicating a challenging day for the market. The technology and retail sectors, represented by companies like SK ie technology and emart, also saw their values decrease.

The overall performance of the KOSPI 200 reflects a challenging trading session, with only a few companies managing to avoid the downward trend.
