KOSPI 200 Experiences Broad Declines in Closing Prices

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 witnessed a notable downturn in its closing prices, with several major companies experiencing declines. Among the significant changes, Kumho Petrochem closed at 146,600, experiencing a decrease of 3,600. Mobis saw a drop of 14,000 to close at 425,000, while Hanwha Aerospace decreased by 3,000, settling at 1,417,000. Samsung Epis Holding also experienced a decline, falling 16,000 to close at 543,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies such as S-1 and KEPCO also faced declines, with S-1 closing at 86,100, down by 500, and KEPCO at 43,550, down by 950. Samsung Securities saw a decrease of 1,200, closing at 107,500, while SK Telecom experienced a slight decline of 500, closing at 95,100. Hyundai Elevator decreased by 300, ending at 98,700.

The report further highlighted declines in several other companies, including Hankuk Carbon, which closed at 49,550, down by 850, and Hanon Systems, which saw a decrease of 125, closing at 4,230. Kakao and NAVER also experienced declines, closing at 47,300 and 211,000, respectively.

Despite the overall trend, a few companies experienced gains. KT and G increased by 1,800, closing at 178,300, while JB Financial Group rose by 200 to close at 27,300. Hanwha Engine also saw a slight increase, closing at 88,000, up by 300.
