Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with a combination of gains and losses among its constituents. Key performers included Samsung Biologics and Youngone Holdings, both showing significant upward movements. Meanwhile, companies like Samsung SDI and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries experienced notable declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Biologics recorded an impressive rise, closing at 1,518,000 won, marking an increase of 139,000 won. Youngone Holdings also performed well, with its stock price increasing by 6,600 won to reach 203,500 won. On the other hand, Samsung SDI saw a decrease of 39,000 won, closing at 428,000 won, while HD Hyundai Heavy Industries dropped by 12,500 won, settling at 485,500 won.
Other notable movements included LS, which fell by 14,500 won to 307,000 won, and SKC, which decreased by 6,000 won, closing at 81,800 won. In contrast, SKBP rose by 900 won, ending at 80,600 won, and MiwonComcl increased by 1,900 won, reaching 125,700 won.
Additionally, GC Biopharma Corp. saw a modest rise of 600 won, closing at 123,700 won, and Hanmi Science increased by 250 won, ending the day at 34,600 won. Meanwhile, LS Electric experienced a decline of 21,500 won, closing at 202,000 won, and LG Innotek fell by 54,000 won, settling at 625,000 won.
The market witnessed mixed results overall, with some companies achieving gains while others faced losses. The diverse performance across different sectors highlighted the varied market dynamics influencing the KOSPI 200 index.
