Seoul: The KOSPI 200 saw a significant upswing as it closed with notable gains in various sectors. Among the top performers, HanmiPharm and APR recorded remarkable increases, with HanmiPharm closing at 391,000, up by 11,000, and APR reaching 378,000, a rise of 20,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also experienced upward trends. Youngone Corp saw an increase to 95,000, up by 6,800, while AMOREPACIFIC closed at 137,800, marking an increase of 6,500. Meritz Financial ended the day at 125,700, up by 5,300. Additionally, COSMAX and Orion both experienced positive shifts, with COSMAX reaching 202,000, up by 7,000, and Orion closing at 135,500, an increase of 5,200.

Meanwhile, some companies faced declines. HD Hyundai Electric dropped by 11,000 to close at 761,000, while Doosan Bobcat and HYBE saw decreases of 300 each, closing at 64,000 and 180,700, respectively. HANWHA SYSTEMS and Doosan Robotics also faced declines, both dropping by 2,300.

Overall, the day was marked by significant movements across various sectors, with a large number of companies closing on a positive note. The KOSPI 200's performance reflects a robust day for the market, driven by gains in several key industries.
