Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of mixed trading as several companies experienced significant fluctuations in their stock prices. Key players such as SAMSUNG C and T and KBFinancialGroup recorded substantial gains, while others like LOTTE SHOPPING and SAMSUNG CARD saw declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SAMSUNG C and T led the gains with an impressive rise of 13,000, closing at 391,500. KBFinancialGroup followed closely with an increase of 13,000, ending the day at 184,400. Other notable performers included KIH, which climbed by 16,500 to reach 239,000, and SANIL ELECTRIC, which advanced by 9,500 to close at 189,100.
On the other hand, the day was less favorable for LOTTE SHOPPING and SAMSUNG CARD, which saw declines of 3,100 and 3,300, respectively. HYUNDAIDEPTST and HanmiPharm also faced downturns, decreasing by 500 and 12,000 respectively.
Additional gains were observed for companies like LG CNS, which rose by 2,000 to settle at 71,100, and AMOREPACIFIC, which increased by 6,800 to close at 123,100. Similarly, SK Innovation and Youngone Corp experienced upward trends, gaining 3,900 and 4,600, respectively.
Meanwhile, the financial sector showed resilience with IBK increasing by 750 to reach 21,250, and WooriFinancialGroup rising by 1,400 to close at 31,450. JB Financial Group also saw gains, climbing by 1,150 to end at 26,050.
The day's trading highlighted a varied performance across different sectors, reflecting the dynamic nature of the market and investor sentiment.
